Blue Fish Companion V Prizes, Pictures, and Recap First off... somebody stole my shower curtain at BFC V. The crazy story eventually came to light, and you can read all about it right here. BFC V Prize Winners Dan Hurst - First Prize. My magic marker blue fish

Pictures This was the first shot of the night. Notice how clean the house still is. Left to right... Brandon, Mike, Chrissy, Randy, and someone I don't recognize. Blue Fish graffiti wall. Poor little dead fish. Three of my favorite blue fish people. Brad and Jennifer. Don't they look sweet? Chrissy Breedlove, one of the few who's been to every Blue Fish Companion Party to date. The dress she was wearing that night is really cool. Hard to tell from the pic, but it's dark purple and swirly. Here's a great picture of Austin, Alex, Kristen, Sarah, and Maggie. Kristin, Sarah, and Maggie play in "Same Day Service" and Sarah uses the photo op to practice up on a quick rock-n-roll gang flash. My friend Claudia and I call that the "peace through satan" sign. We even made it into a handshake. Ask one of us to show it to you sometime. Here's Vanessa (who also plays with Same Day Service), her sister Shelley, and Kevin. This was when Vanessa's buzz cut was brand new. I kept wanting to rub the stubble, and I hope it didn't get on her nerves. Grant, myself, and Ross. You can see a bit of the shirt that I'm wearing, which eventually became first prize in the late night drawing. Mid party with Mike, Kevin, Tiff, Tiff's friend, Armando, Katie, Brad,
and another guy whose name I don't know. But I talked to him, and he's a nice dude. Ok, I can't remember this pretty girl's name either. But she saw this jacket in my closet and thought it was quite cool. I found this jacket (genuine leather) at a city wide garage sale in Red River, New Mexico. It's really a snazzy piece of fashion... half Michael Jackson, and half Judas Priest. Check out all of the zippers. It fits her better than it does me. Here's Jenny again, now changed into my Blue Fish Dress. I asked her if she could wear it for the party (it's too small for me) and she was really cool and said "sure thing". I just wish the picure had turned out better, but there was some weird shadow going across. To see a better pic of at least the dress, click here. It's my friend Julie wearing it at Party III. Here's Kevin again, with a couple of girls with super model looks. Kevin knows more pretty girls than anyone else on the planet. That's Frank in the background with the hat, and Kevin in front. A couple my friends that I've know for WAY longer than I care to admit. I can't tell if Kevin is trying to hide his face, or the label of that beer. Probably both. Party Central in my front driveway. Kevin and Armando make their appearance in yet a third picture. Check out Brad and Jen in the background kung fu fightin'. Pretty blue fish people Mike and Amripauli. Amripauli just showed up at the party here, and Mike is helping her with the blue fish neck tag part of the process. She was a Blue Fish Party virgin. Paco and his two sweeties arrive. Paco and Claudia have also been to every Blue Fish party I've thrown. Here's a picture of Scott, and my backyard. It's too dark to tell, but there were a whole lot of people back there. I was picking up bottlecaps and cigarette butts for half an hour the next day. Brad with a cool shirt, and a homemade fish button from the BFC IV party. It's this kind of dedication that makes Blue Fish a happy, happy, joy, joy, good time. Tiff and one of her friends here, caught a bit by surprise. Check out that skirt! Shiny. Tiff again, with Amy, Brad, and Chrissy. There's someone else just out of view, but I can't tell for sure who it is. There's nothing like wandering into your back room only to find out that members of weezer and helmet made it to the shindig! Recap Well, it was yet another fun party but it's almost getting out of control. Each one seems to grow by about 50%, and I don't know how much longer I can keep up with it. I made 150 fish tags, and they were all gone pretty early. I don't know for sure, but I think I'd put the attendance somewhere between 200 and 250... about 100 of which I didn't even know. But it was fun, and with only a couple of small exceptions everyone was very cool. My neighbors are also very cool to put up with these things without a complaint. Blue Fish parties are always quiet parties, so hopefully it's not too much of a burden. The worse thing that happened is that some buttheads stole one of my disposable party cameras with about 10 or 15 of my party pics on it. Including the winning Moon Pie shot of Kristen! A henious crime to say for sure. I was very disappointed in such non-blue fish behavior, you can be quite certain. But I know who did it, and there's a chance I might get the pictures back... plus the picures that they took of themselves after the theivery. If so, be sure to check back to the site where I will update the good pictures and do evil things to make fun of the other pictures. The cops also came by at around 3am, but were totally cool. They just said "move the illegally parked cars because we're towing in 10 minutes". We moved them. Around 4:30 I started picking up trash, and several people helped me. (so sweet) We had all of the big stuff bagged before dawn. At around 6am, the final 15 or 20 people headed away. I made sure that nobody drunk was driving, reminded them to be sure and use condoms, and to get their pets spade or neutered ...and the whole things was history for another six months. Nothing is set yet, but it looks like I will probably have another party in late February thanks to my fading short term memory of the trash cleanup. It's tentatively title "Blue Fish Straight To Hell!", which will be nice since it's always so darn cold in February. Comments, complaints, friendly wishes, good tidings...
